Volunteering at Warren Village
At Warren Village, we are able to provide important resources to our families with the help of hundreds of volunteers each year. If you have time to give, we have opportunities for you to help. We are looking for groups and individuals interested in making an impact in our residents’ lives. Please read below for more information on current opportunities and requirements for volunteers. Please direct all volunteer questions to Angie Ruddell, Manager of Volunteer Services, email@example.com.
During National Volunteer Month (April 2018), we celebrate the power of volunteerism, and we are proud to recognize extraordinary individuals who contribute so much of their time and energy – check out these stories:
- The Hoffer Family
- Henry Springer & Hadley Siegel
- Johns Manville
- The Kilen Family
- The Montessori School of Denver
- Christine Thai
- First Step Evening Childcare
As our First Step community grows, so does our need for volunteers! We are seeking new volunteers to assist with childcare on Tuesday evenings, from 6:15pm-8:00pm, while our adult residents attend Life Skills classes. Warren Village First Step is located near Regis University.
- Administrative Support
Warren Village is seeking volunteer administrative support in the office of our President and CEO. Strong verbal, written, and computer skills are needed for success in this position. The time commitment is approximately 10 hours/week with flexible scheduling.
- Family and Community Nights
Dates are filling up fast! Contact Angie Ruddell, firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to get on our schedule.
- Evening Childcare
While our parents attend Life Skills Classes, Warren Village offers free Evening Child Care for resident children on-site, so that parents may attend class knowing their children are in good hands. Volunteers provide care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old. This is a great activity for teens, families, and groups. Must be 14 years or older.
- Life Skills Class Facilitation
Warren Village resident parents are asked to attend three Life Skills Classes per month as a part of their program agreement. Facilitate a class or series of classes based on your profession, hobbies, passions and more!
As-Needed Volunteer Opportunities | Please inquire with the volunteer department if one of the following interests you at this time.
- Tutoring Adults
Meet with Warren Village parents one-on-one or in a small group to provide academic assistance.
- Special Events/Development Support
Help the Development Team with annual fundraisers, large mailings, securing donations, etc.
- Holiday Shop | December 2017
This event serves our families by giving them the opportunity to select gifts for their loved ones free of charge. Volunteers are needed for the weeks leading up to the event, the day of the event, and the week after.
- Skilled Volunteers
Do you have a background in maintenance, IT, carpentry, or other specialized field and have an interest in volunteering? Let us know how you would like to help!
Volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application and attend an orientation. All volunteers over the age of 18 submit a background screening through our partner, Verified Volunteers.
*Volunteers for Family and Community Night are not required to attend orientation or submit a background screening.
