Meet Mackenzie: Why Monthly Support Matters

For families at Warren Village, stability doesn’t come all at once — it’s built day by day. That’s why monthly giving matters. Reliable, ongoing support allows our team to respond to challenges as they arise and ensures families have consistent housing, childcare, and community throughout the year.

Mackenzie Owen, a Warren Village volunteer and monthly donor, understands this deeply. As someone who sees the impact of our work firsthand, she chose monthly giving as a way to help create steady footing for parents and children alike.

Q&A with Mackenzie Owen

Monthly Donor and Volunteer

What made you decide to become a monthly donor rather than giving once or twice a year?

I decided to become a monthly donor because I know that nonprofits like Warren Village are able to function more effectively with a steady stream of income instead of receiving donations once or twice throughout the year. It is a difficult time for nonprofits, and I think the amazing team at Warren Village is doing work that deserves as much support as I can offer.

When you think about your monthly gift, what impact do you hope it’s creating for families?

My hope is that my monthly donation gives the Warren Village team the flexibility to meet challenges as they arise and helps them continue to offer their life-changing services throughout the year. As a childcare and Kid’s Club volunteer, I get to see firsthand the impact Warren Village has on its residents and how it helps empower adults and children alike. I hope my donation provides stability for both the employees and families of Warren Village.

What would you say to someone who supports Warren Village but hasn’t signed up for monthly giving yet?

I would highly encourage anyone thinking about it to become a monthly donor because there are so many families in Denver that need help and support that only a unique organization like Warren Village can provide. With a monthly donation, you can ensure sustainability for those families throughout the year and give parents and children an opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Mackenzie’s story reflects what monthly giving makes possible: steady support that helps families build steady futures.

Partnership takes many forms — and all of them matter. As we work toward our $75,000 year-end goal, your support right now helps ensure families continue to receive the stability they need.

  • Join the Summit Circle (Monthly Giving): Provide ongoing support that sustains housing, early learning, and advocacy year-round.

  • Make a Year-End Gift: Help us close the gap as we move toward our goal.

  • King Soopers Community Rewards: Link your Shopper’s Card to support Warren Village at no cost to you.

Right now, we’re working toward a $75,000 goal. A gift today could be what carries us across the finish line — and opens the door for the next parent seeking safety and support.
