Early Education & Child Care

The United Airlines Early Learning Center, conveniently located on the garden level of Warren Village, provides high-quality, on-site developmental care and licensed early childhood education for more than 100 children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. The Learning Center has a Colorado Shines Level 4 program quality rating.

A Deeper Diveinto The Learning Center
The Learning Center utilizes an evidence-based classroom management model called Conscious Discipline®. The model—shown to be especially effective in fostering positive brain development in young children exposed to adversity—integrates social-emotional learning, discipline and self-regulation so they spend less time policing behavior and more time teaching vital life skills.
Learning Center Teachers utilize the Creative Curriculum® for Preschool to plan lessons and create daily routines and meaningful experiences that are responsive to a child’s strengths and needs. They also use its associated assessment system My Teaching Strategies™, GOLD® to assess each child’s progress toward development benchmarks.
Our partnership with the Mental Health Center of Denver provides an on-site mental health clinician who supports staff, families, and children by providing problem-solving and wellness skills to help alleviate behavioral and emotional concerns. The clinician also supports teachers in the classroom, assesses children, and provides individual and group support, therapy and trainings. Warren Village also partners with the Colorado Center for Pediatric Learning and Development (CCPLD) that provides on-site occupational, physical and speech therapy for children. In addition, we are fortunate to have ongoing early childhood developmental support from Rocky Mountain Human Services and Sewall Child Development.
Children are served a healthy breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack prepared by our on-site chef. These meals provide for 2/3 of a child’s daily nutritional requirements.

Prioritizing Children

The Learning Center maintains low teacher-to-student ratios in the classroom that foster more one-on-one interaction and individualized instruction. All Learning Center classrooms have a teacher and 1-2 teaching aids, in addition several classrooms have a senior from the Volunteers of America Foster Grandparent Program who provides a multi-generational presence.

Kids' Club

After-School & Summer Enrichment Programming

Kids’ Club, managed by our Family Services team, provides school-age children (ages 7-18) residing at Warren Village with academic support and recreational, cultural, and socio-emotional activities after school and during the summer. Through partnerships with organizations like Girls on the Run, Skate Pass, the Colorado Ballet, Swallow Hill, and Yoga for the People, we are able to maximize available resources. Kids’ Club also organizes fun monthly events such as pizza and movie night, talent shows, and dance competitions.
