Safe & Affordable Housing

With safe, consistent and affordable housing, families can achieve economic mobility and navigate and disrupt the systems of poverty. Warren Village offers two- to three-year transitional housing in 92 apartments for single-parent families at our Gilpin Street campus. 100% of the single parents who reside or come to Warren Village were previously unhoused or experiencing housing instability.

Warren Village’s apartment building is located in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, a close walking distance to public transportation, stores, social service organizations, and a spacious city park. Each resident pays rent, based on their income, which ranges from $25 a month to 30% of their total income. Each resident must be committed to working toward specific personal and self-sufficiency goals.

Warren Village at First Step

Warren Village at First Step offers safe and affordable housing in North Denver, serving female heads of household ages 18-24 and their children under age 12. Our First Step campus recognizes the importance of community support for young families living in transitional housing, and the programming offered here reflects that.

Residents at First Step can focus on achieving personal and professional goals while stabilizing their housing situation. The program supports a wide range of economic mobility pathways, including education, employment, and entrepreneurship. 

First Step provides a wide array of services in a shared, congregate setting with 10 units of transitional housing. Career planning opportunities include supports for both educational achievements and other economic mobility strategies, such as employment or entrepreneurship, recognizing the diverse needs of the families we serve. Residents must be committed to setting and working towards goals and fully participating in the program.
