Safe & Affordable Housing
With safe, consistent and affordable housing, families can achieve economic mobility and navigate and disrupt the systems of poverty. Warren Village offers two- to three-year transitional housing in 92 apartments for single-parent families at our Gilpin Street campus. 100% of the single parents who reside or come to Warren Village were previously unhoused or experiencing housing instability.
Apartments at warren village
Warren Village’s apartment building is located in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, a close walking distance to public transportation, stores, social service organizations, and a spacious city park. Each resident pays rent, based on their income, which ranges from $25 a month to 30% of their total income. Each resident must be committed to working toward specific personal and self-sufficiency goals.
Each resident is supported in their commitment to work toward personal goals within the following categories:
- Family Stability (Housing and Family)
- Well-Being (Physical and Mental Health; Networks)
- Financial Management (Debts and Savings)
- Education (Educational Attainment)
- Earning Levels (Employment and Career Management)

We offer housing to single parents who:
- ARE MOTIVATED TO SET AND ACHIEVE GOALS
- HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
- ARE 18 YEARS OR OLDER
- HAVE CUSTODY OF ONE OR MORE CHILDREN
- ARE COMMITTED TO FULL-TIME WORK AND/OR SCHOOL
- ARE WILLING TO ATTEND THREE LIFE SKILLS CLASSES PER MONTH
- WILL ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN OUR WELLNESS INITIATIVE AND OTHER PROGRAMS

Warren Village at First Step
Warren Village offers additional safe and affordable housing at another location in North Denver for young mothers without their high school diploma or GED in partnership with Florence Crittenton Services.
Since January 2022, Warren Village has been providing safe housing and wraparound, on-site supportive services to pregnant and parenting teen moms between the ages of 18 and 24 and their children under the age of 12 who are interested in enrolling at Florence Crittenton (FloCrit) Services to attain a GED or high school diploma. This innovative partnership leverages the power of Warren Village’s Two-Generation (2Gen) approach and the specialized youth education and early care expertise that FloCrit has provided to teen families for generations.
