Volunteer Spotlight – Olegario Luna

(April 26, 2019) – Olegario Luna is not like most sophomores in high school. His experience is unique, because he is a part of the work-study program at Arrupe Jesuit High School, which is a Roman Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school in north Denver. Olegario explained, “At my school, we have a work program which is called CWSP (Corporate Work-Study Program). This program provides me with a unique opportunity to gain new experiences that can help prepare me for my future.”

In its 16th year, the Corporate Work Study Program has partnered with more than 130 businesses and nonprofits throughout Denver, including Warren Village. Olegario is one of several students who have worked with us. Their program comes with job training, transportation, and compensation for the student employees. We look forward to continuing a great relationship with Arrupe Jesuit High School so that students like Olegario can see the impact our work has on our resident families.

Olegario is an integral part of the Warren Village Housing Team

We are thrilled to have Olegario as a part of our Housing team as a receptionist where he helps answer the phone and greet our resident families as they come and go. “I so enjoy being able to see and greet new people every time I work at Warren Village,” he said.

“I learned that Warren Village brings a lot of potential to the community because they are able to help families with housing and personal problems. I really enjoy coming to Warren village and spending the day here, it’s something I look forward to.” We look forward to seeing Olegario as well, and we thank him for his service!
